In-School Program for Elementary Schools

IMC Faculty have prepared a short, entertaining music introduction program, suitable for an elementary school assembly. This is an approximately 25 minute presentation, and includes a brief demonstration of six musical instruments followed by a narrated story, with back projection and musical accompaniment by the IMC sextet. The story used is "Mole Music" by David McPhail (Pub. Harper and Collins). After the presentation, a "petting zoo" can be set up and staffed in a classroom where children (3rd & 4th grade preferred) are able to try the different instruments under the supervision and guidance of IMC staff.
